The above quoted words indicates that one should be concerned about the future glory after death an not about the present happening. The importance of revenge as also revealed. Revenge is the only way a warrior can display his loyalty for the loss of loved ones. Therefore, Beowulf being a great warrior had to revenge on behalf of his loved ones. A warrior has to be aggressive in life in and Beowulf required Hrothgarv, who happens to be a greatest friend to Aeschere to revenge since life is a race for glory. In these world, the author justifies Beowulf great love for war. More so, this great love for war is that makes one a warrior.
