The questionnaire sought to find out the different international marketing methods used by the UK higher education sector, the success of these methods and the higher education’s sector views on globalisation.  This was achieved by creating a questionnaire with four sections.

Section A consisted of questions which sought to establish the characteristics of the higher education institution, as well as the characteristics and the demography of the international students at the institution.  By asking these questions, the author was hoping to first of all, confirm the status of the higher education institution to ensure that only the relevant institutions had been approached and responded; and that the information on international students would correspond with information in the literature review which highlighted key characteristics of international students.  By confirming this information, the author would be satisfied that they were researching the same area as that in the literature review.
