Even though most masses swap the meaning of ‘lobbying’ with ‘advocacy’ yet there is dissimilarity between them. Lobbying specifically refers to efforts that challenge to manipulate legislation. This difference is necessary to clarify because it elaborates the meaning that, laws that limit the lobbying done by nonprofit organizations do not administer and encourage other advocacy actions.

When nonprofit organizations advocate for their own sake, they seek to influence some portion of culture, whether they demand to individuals about their behavior, employers about their rules, or the government about its laws (CLPI, 2003).
