Employees are considered as an asset to the organisation because the profits and the growth of an organisation depend upon the employees. An organisation is labelled as quality and growth oriented organisation just because of its employees. That is the reason why organisations try its level best to motivate its employees and this motivation of employees can be beneficial in both the short and the long run (Hiatt and Creasey 2003). However, there are certain employees in the organisation that actually posses a lethargic attitude towards work and they are not satisfied with their organisations. In this scenario these employees are reluctant to change their normal routines of work.

This reluctant attitude is usually displayed when an organisation tries to implement certain standard that are related to quality. When an organisation is planning to implement ISO 9001:2000 then they have to increase the quality of their products and services and employees in certain scenarios are not ready for that because many employees in different organisations are reluctant to change.
