Looking at issues of ethical misconduct in the business world, the books relevance immediately comes into play. An example can be taken with the company known as Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. The bank which engaged in exceedingly reckless actions went bankrupt in 2008 over the losses it had incurred over the years.

What was incredibly shocking about the situation was not that the company went bankrupt but how they manipulated their financial holdings to stay in business effectively cheating investors, the public and their 5000 employees. As mentioned before the primary goal of business is profit and in this case it can clearly be seen how the company took advantage of its customers and even though in the end paid for their mistakes, left a black mark on their industry (Wong and Smith).
