Having in mind that there are three main types of religion in the world, Islam, Hinduism and Christianity, it follows that everybody is free to join any religion he decides.

Considering all the teachings in any of the three religions, all advocate for the believers to believe in God alone and only follow His teachings. God is considered universal and omniscient and He rewards all wrong doers and rewards those who follow His teachings. This makes people fear the punishment they may receive from God by defying His teachings. As a result, it is right to argue that it does not matter what religion a person believes in since all have similar teachings (MacDonald 105).
