Literature at its essence has always been a profession based on romanticism of the world around us. Much like art, literature thrives on creating different perceptions in an already familiar world. Transporting the reader to the world within its pages and creating something magical with an almost familiar feeling.

Unfortunately the entire charming and fanciful atmosphere of the literary world does not exist at the London Book Fair (Reed Exhibitions Limited). Instead of being a fair which could be exclusively catering to readers and promoting authors of new books. It is now a trade show specially created and marketed towards those who are in the business of publishing. Diverting much of the shows interest and relevance away from the public and towards the publishers, agents, digital directors, etc all present not for the books, the authors, the insight but rather for business meetings and seminars.
