Sample Essay

The aftermath of the Second World War is not restricted (as believed by many) to the mere desecration and carnage that is associated with the catastrophic war. Besides for the complete annihilation of many European cities such as Warsaw, Hamburg and many Balkan States and other places like Hiroshima and Nagasaki which were beyond recognition after the atomic blasts, the Second World War has had an effect on many aspects of life, particularly in the USA (Ebeling, 2009).

For example, the women’s liberation movement gained fuel in the World War II due to popular legends such as Rosie the Riveter, who was an iconic figure that symbolized the role played by women in the time of World War II such as working in weapons and war craft factories while the men served in the army and fought the war. Family styles also changed and the Baby boomers generation affected the population growth substantially. The civil rights act was established which empowered African-Americans, with electoral rights.
